John Caldwell, Ph.D.
In 2002, he transferred from the Army to the U.S. Air Force where from 2002 through 2007 he conducted research, training, and consultations designed to enhance and sustain the effectiveness of the operational aviation community. He has completed two assignments with NASA’s Human Factors Division at Ames Research Center in California. In his current position as Senior Scientist with Archinoetics, LLC., he continues to focus on developing and implementing state-of-the-art solutions for operator fatigue in military, industrial, and aviation settings. Throughout his career, he has provided a variety of fatigue-management workshops and delivered well over 100 presentations to flight surgeons, pilots, scientists and others. He has published 1 book, 6 book chapters, over 30 first-author peer-reviewed scientific papers, and more than 60 first-author articles in user-focused journals, conference proceedings, and government technical reports. He is a fatigue-management consultant for United Airlines, NASA, the Army, the Air Force, and the Marines. He has been the recipient of several high-level performance awards to include the Air Force’s Harold Brown Award (the highest civilian award for research and development), and the Army’s Meritorious Civilian Service award as well as the Superior Civilian Service award."; |
