HCII & Augmented Cognition Conferences
July 2005
The Archinoetics team demonstrated the capabilities of its OTIS system at the HCI International and Augmented Cognition conferences at Caeser's Palace in Las Vegas. OTIS, an fNIR system for real-time functional brain imaging, was used in a closed-loop system designed with the University of Virginia and Carnegie Mellon University to improve human performance while multitasking through scheduling tasks based on the cognitive state of the user. Additionally, Archinoetics gave talks in two sessions discussing the unique hardware design of the OTIS system as well as its capability for use in a brain-computer interface system.
